Audit Chamber of Ukraine (ACU) was established under the Law of Ukraine ”About auditor activity” and functions as an independent body. APU provides certification of persons who intend to engage in audit activity; approved auditing standards, approves training programs for auditors and approval of the National Bank of Ukraine training program for auditors who carry out audits of banks, keeps the Register of audit firms and auditors, monitors compliance and audit firms auditors of the Law of Ukraine ”About auditor activity” auditing standards, professional ethics of auditors, implements measures to ensure the independence of auditors during their audits; regulates the relationship between auditors (audit firms) in the process of audit and if necessary apply to them are levied.
