JSC ”Zakarpatinterport” owns two modern cargo areas, one of them is located 2 km from the Hungarian-Ukrainian border — the other is 5 km from the Slovak one. The areas function as a customs control zone at the checkpoint of the ”Chop” station and the other at the ”Mukachevo” station .

Cargo terminals are used for cargo processing, namely transshipment and other terminal-warehousing operations from the European narrow-gauge route — the CIS route is broad-gauge. All cargoes are transported in covered rolling stock: packaging and artificial, discharge and chemical and in open rolling stock: oversized, large, long-dimension, discharge and chemical cargoes.
