I am a certified specialist (master’s degree) in the field of ”Clothing Design” (KNUTD, Kyiv, Ukraine), I have many specialized courses behind me, I have practical experience in the field for over 5 years. As a pattern designer, I participated in the creation of dance costumes for children and adults, the development of a children’s collection, the creation of everyday items and much more.

Developing patterns in a manual format is something that has always slowed me down in the process of creating the next product. The need for corrections, gradation (reproduction) of a pattern based on a manual one is long and inconvenient.

In my work when designing clothing patterns, I use licensed CAD software Gratsia, which allows me to reduce the time for developing a pattern to 1-3 days, taking into account gradation and edits from the client. The use of Clo3D software in my work allows me to reduce the time even further, thanks to which I have the opportunity to visualize the pattern and make the necessary corrections before sewing the test sample. Thanks to 3D visualization, test samples that are sewn do not require any editing in 90% of cases and are immediately sent for grading!

The time frame for making a pattern depends on the complexity of the product, the completeness of the technical specifications and your wishes. On average, the basic time frame is 1-3 days from the moment of ordering the pattern and discussing all the nuances of the product.
