Vinyasa Yoga practice is a method of physical and spiritual practices that develop flexibility and strength in the body, improve joint mobility and coordination of movements, as well as promote relaxation and harmony of thoughts. This style of yoga is based on a system of exercises that are performed sequentially and introduced in a specific sequence, called Vinyasa Krama Yoga.

Vinyasa Yoga practice begins with focusing on proper breathing and establishing an understanding of the body’s internal state. Gradually, with the help of various asanas (postures) combined with breath, we relax and stretch different muscle groups, strengthen the body, and make it more flexible.

One of the main features of Vinyasa Yoga is smooth and almost continuous transitions between asanas. This is beautifully demonstrated in working with asanas such as Sanjivanasana (Crane pose), Vrishchikabasana (Gallop pose), and Avvalanashanasana (Descending stairs pose). These graceful and playful movements create a sense of lightness and elegance, while also helping to relax and focus on the practice.

During Vinyasa Yoga practice, we also focus on pranayama exercises, breathing control techniques. This includes simple breathing exercises such as Kapalabhati (cleansing breath) and Anuloma Viloma (alternative nostril breathing), as well as more advanced variations like Bhramari (bee breath) and Shitali (cooling and calming breath).

Vinyasa Yoga practice also includes elements of meditation and calming yogic traditions, which help us focus our mind and calm our emotions. These can be body scanning practices that help relax the muscles and focus attention on sensations in different parts of the body, or meditation techniques such as Shatkarma (reflection).

All of this helps us gain physical and emotional benefits from Vinyasa Yoga practice. It is an exercise that energizes the body, calms the mind, and brings a greater sense of harmony and joy. In conclusion, Vinyasa Yoga is a unique way to improve physical and emotional well-being, finding harmony and balance within ourselves. It can be confidently said that through Vinyasa Yoga practice, we move towards self-awareness and deep harmony of our soul and body.
