JSC ”Turboatom” is one of the largest enterprises in the world for design and production:
Steam turbines for:
- thermal power plants (TPPs);
- thermal power plants (CHP);
- nuclear power plants (NPPs).
Hydraulic turbines for:
- hydroelectric power stations (HPPs):
- accumulating power plants (PSP).
- hydraulic valves for HPPs, PSPs and pumping stations.

Production of steam turbines in Ukraine began in 1934 after the completion of the Kharkiv Turbogenerator Plant.
Today, the production of steam turbines represents a complete cycle of equipment creation: research, design, production, testing, chief installation, commissioning, technical and engineering support, maintenance, modernization of equipment during operation.
The company has target laboratories for testing materials, systems of turbine elements in accordance with the requirements of international standards.
Since 1953, the company produces all types of jet turbines and pre-turbine valves for domestic and foreign HPPs and PSPs.
Development and design of hydropower equipment is performed by a special design bureau ”Turbohydromash”.
