After the arrival of a new team on the channel, led by producer Alexei Semenov, it was announced the creation of a new TV channel called ”Direct”.

The main format of broadcasting is infotainment, which means that the viewer will be able to find both entertaining and information-analytical content for themselves on the channel. Inherited from Tonis, this channel has received a national broadcasting network and has broadcasting rights throughout Ukraine, both in digital and DVB-2 formats, via satellite signal (Amos 2), and is present in most cable and IPTV networks.

According to the registration, the owner of the channel is Volodymyr Makeenko. His main task is to create new jobs, as well as to protect independence through the media.

The creators of Direct emphasize the quality of information, providing a platform for all points of view. Semenov said he was building the Ukrainian CNN and BBC. The channel broadcasts from the very center of Kyiv, from the studio on the 24th floor of the Parus business center.

The main characters of the TV channel, without a doubt, are Yevhen Kiselyov and Matviy Ganapolsky, who switched to Tonis together with Oleksiy Semenov from the NewsOne channel. But besides them, among journalists, you can see many familiar faces - this is the former host of ”Inter” Julia Spachinskaya, and Carolina Ashion from ”2 + 2”, and Sergei Doiko from the TV channel ”Kiev”, as well as political scientist Peter Zalman, Alexander Lirchuk, Snizhana Egorova, Ilya Noyabryov, Anatoliy Anatolich, Svitlana Orlovska and many others.
