Today, the university teaches two main, theological and legal schools of Islam - Shafi and Hanafi.Currently, the University has only one faculty - Sharia and the foundations of religion. Profile disciplines: Islamic law (fih), interpretation of Qur’an (tafsir), ways of reading Qur’an (tajwid), persuasion of Muslims (aqida), Monotheism (Tawhid), Sufism (tasawwuf), culture of behavior (ahlyak), Arabic language and others

The Ukrainian Islamic University is the only Muslim specialized institution of higher education in Ukraine. Spiritual Board of Muslims of Ukraine on the initiative of the head of the RAMU Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmed Tamim.
The Ukrainian Islamic University is a higher educational institution recognized by many Islamic scientific centers of the world on the basis of our achievements and successes, both in pedagogical and scientific activities.
The main tasks of the Ukrainian Islamic University:
- training of highly qualified specialists with deep knowledge of Islamic sciences;
- expanding opportunities for religious education for Muslims around the world;
- cooperation with higher educational institutions, both Muslim and secular, in order to form a unified system of Islamic education;
- participation in Islamic scientific research.
